With Igor Mamlenkov
This tale is as old as time. They say that a spirit comes at night to bring piece and joy to one’s house.
Through clown, dance, movement and fantasy, Domovoi explores the playfulness and its importance, emotional empathy. The invisible touch and the human tragedies. The performance brings forwards the common modern “disorder” -the longing feeling of being lost, when one is not able to see nor to enjoy the small thing in life that construct the true everyday happiness. It is a clownesque, poetic spectacle about delusion, hope and deliverance.
Domovoi is imagined, created and acted by Igor Mamlenkov based on the fairytale “Domovoi” written by Irina Bogashova-Kotova-Kotova. The present work is Igor’s master project at Accademia Teatro Dimitri, CH. Gerardo Tetilla and Robert Díaz Díaz assisted in directing of the piece. Elia Moretti has composed the original sound track.
Premiere on 19th and 20th of January, 2018 at Teatro Dimitri, Verscio. CH. Domovoi also opened the 1rst edition of Non-Verbal Theatre Festival in Krasnodar, Russia.
